Environmental Policy:

1. Only biodegradable surfactants are used.

2. All of our products abide by the voluntary ban on NP’s, (nonyl phenyl ethoxylates). These surfactants become more toxic as they biodegrade and have a severe effect on the environment, even in the lower quantities they are use in today. Nonyl phenol is listed on the EU website as being one of the 32 most dangerous marine pollutants despite the significant reduction in quantities used.

3. A high proportion of raw materials used in our products are derived from renewable, naturally occurring sources such as coconut oil and sugar.

4. The manufacturing methods used for our products are also pioneering new techniques in waste disposal. All chemical manufacturers have to wash down their machinery between runs and this creates an amount of industrial waste. Our manufacturers have obtained DTI funding to build the UK’s first biological waste treatment facility for industrial chemical effluent. This bioreactor digests all the effluent into harmless carbon dioxide and water and this technique is only possible because of our long standing policy of only using biodegradable materials. This bioreactor has been funded as a demonstration facility so that other manufacturers will in future be able to benefit from techniques we have developed.

5. Our manufacturer aims to lower the environmental impact of transporting both it’s incoming raw materials and it’s outgoing finished products. An extensive bulk storage tank farm provides the majority of the raw materials we use, ensuring our incoming materials are delivered using efficient tankers (with no packaging of course). An innovative program of super concentrated products ensures that large contracts can be also be secured with the minimum of transport & packaging.

Animal Testing Policy:

Our manufacturer has a clear policy on animal testing.

We do not run animal tests in our own labs, nor do we send products out to be tested on our own, or our customers, behalf

We do not have any links, commercial or otherwise, with companies whom we know to test products on animals.
